Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Material Handling Systems Inc. As a Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for installing overhead bridge cranes and hoists, ensuring high-quality installations are completed on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and comprehend blueprints, work at heights, and in confined spaces.

  • Install steel beams and perform skilled tasks in the repair and maintenance of metal surfaces.
  • Apply technical expertise in determining work methods and procedures.
  • Install various items to complete projects safely and within established time frames.
  • Maintain shop, tools, vehicle, and machinery in good working order.
  • Maintain welds on various items using various processes.
  • Control downtime by performing routine maintenance and instructing workers on equipment operation.
  • Use machine shop instrumentation and equipment to fabricate, repair parts, and maintain equipment.
Requirements

  • High School Diploma preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in steel erection.
  • A combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • General knowledge of various types of equipment and ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Valid Driver's License.
