Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. This position serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

About the Unit

The Stroke/Brain unit at Research Medical Center offers comprehensive, advanced care and treatment to minimize the effects of stroke, helping patients recover their health and functioning, and make the most of their capabilities so patients can get back to their lives. As a designated Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis Center of Excellence, our team treats more than 1,200 stroke patients each year from the Kansas City area and surrounding regions.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
  • Assist with staff scheduling.
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
