Job Title: Machinist

Flowserve Corporation is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at our Bridgeville site. As a Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC and/or manual lathes and mills to produce high-quality parts.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC and/or manual lathes and mills to produce high-quality parts.
  • Read and interpret drawings using conventional tolerances as well as geometric tolerances.
  • Adjust speeds and feeds to maximize machining productivity.
  • Machine parts to close tolerances (.001) from raw material and/or castings in the most efficient manner while understanding safety and quality requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience cutting metal using CNC or Manual machines.
  • Ability to accurately measure tolerances using micrometers, calipers, tri-mics, etc.
  • Ability to work 2nd shift or 3rd shift.
  • Computer literate.
  • Knowledge of layout and set up of castings and raw material.
  • Ability to read and follow route sheets/blueprints.
  • Work well with people.
  • Product/process knowledge.
  • Self-starter.
  • High level of organization skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
  • Technical or vocational certifications in CNC or Manual Machining preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Programming ability a plus, but not required.
  • The knowledge and skill to utilize overhead cranes safely is a plus.
