Job Summary:
This role is accountable for overseeing the daily functions of the Front Desk and Kids Club, which includes responsibilities such as hiring, recruiting, scheduling, and training new staff members for these areas.
The position entails managing guest check-ins, ensuring member retention, maintaining member accounts, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensure timely follow-ups with club members to confirm their accounts are current.
Implement procedures as specified in the front desk and kids club manuals.
Support the Club Manager with various operational tasks as required.
Handle daily cash register deposits.
Manage the ordering of office supplies.
Oversee inventory for the front desk.
Responsible for placing product orders.
Participate in all staff meetings and club events.
Foster and maintain professional relationships with both members and staff.
Ensure all necessary documentation (daily reports, checklists, etc.) is completed promptly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-kept front desk area at all times.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergency situations.
Contribute to revenue generation within the club through retail sales (supplements, shakes, apparel, tanning).
Expectations:
Maintain a professional demeanor while representing Genesis Health Clubs.
Provide insights in developing strategies to achieve club goals and objectives.
Encourage a collaborative team environment among staff and departments.
Address common inquiries or complaints from members effectively.
Engage in all social activities within the club.
Participate in group classes and maintain a regular exercise routine.
Job Requirements:
Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
Experience in handling cash and credit transactions.
1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.
Physical Requirements:
Capability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift weights up to 45 pounds.
Effective communication skills with guests and colleagues, including reading, writing, and speaking.
