Primary Responsibilities: The responsibilities of the Furniture Repair Technician include, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting detailed inspections of outgoing furniture to identify any damages or quality concerns.
  • Executing minor repairs and touch-ups efficiently to prepare merchandise for timely delivery.
  • Collaborating with the delivery team to ensure that products are transported without compromising repairs.
  • Performing comprehensive surface and technical repairs across various furniture types, including case goods, upholstery, leather, motion, and bedding.
  • Staying updated on the latest furniture and upholstery repair techniques to maintain Conn's high standards of product quality.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in furniture repair is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail is a must.
  • Ability to work efficiently while ensuring accuracy to meet quality standards.
  • Physical capability to move and position furniture within the facility, including the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse environment that may be subject to varying weather conditions.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in furniture repair and refurbishment is preferred.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and up to 250 lbs. with assistance.

Work Environment:

  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and outdoor settings.
  • Position may require prolonged periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
