Salary Information

The estimated salary for this position is around $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This compensation package includes a total rewards program that supports the health, life, career, and retirement of our colleagues.

Job Description

As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing clinical laboratory services and monitoring point-of-care testing accuracy. Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory or designee, you will:

  • Assist in data collection for statistical surveys or other reports generated by the Department.
  • Participate in quality control and performance improvement activities within the Department.
  • Maintain high competency in the operation of all equipment in the performance of clinical laboratory testing.
  • Facilitate communication between the Laboratory and members of the Medical Staff and other Hospital Departments to enhance patient care services.
  • Coordinate clinical laboratory service scheduling with applicable Hospital Departments and Medical Staff for maximum utilization of resources and maintenance of quality care.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Previous experience in hospital clinical laboratory preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science.
  • Registered as a MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
