Position Overview:
As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing various financial operations. Your responsibilities will encompass general ledger oversight, account reconciliations, and the preparation of detailed financial reports. You will also engage with real estate investment entities, trusts, and foundations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing the general ledger to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
2. Conducting regular account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
3. Preparing and delivering comprehensive financial reports to management, emphasizing key insights and trends.
4. Managing accounting projects related to trusts, foundations, and real estate, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
5. Creating and processing both standard and non-standard journal entries.
6. Leading the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all deadlines are met.
7. Developing accurate cash flow projections and identifying potential financial concerns.
8. Continuously assessing and enhancing accounting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Senior Financial Accountant position, candidates should possess:
1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2. At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar financial role.
3. Strong background in general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
4. Familiarity with real estate investment entities, trusts, and foundations.
5. Proficiency in creating both standard and non-standard journal entries.
6. Experience managing month-end and year-end closing activities.
7. Ability to generate accurate cash flow forecasts.
8. Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and Word; experience with Yardi Voyager is advantageous.
9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
10. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
