Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is tasked with providing exceptional nursing care within a designated primary area of the facility. This role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in an ASC setting, which includes cross-training in various essential functions such as assisting with patient turnover and supporting daily operational activities. Additionally, the RN will oversee the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients entering the ASC.

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. An Associate Degree is mandatory, while a Bachelor's Degree is preferred. Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing program.
- Experience: Previous experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in the respective state is required.
- ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
- Additional Skills: A comprehensive understanding of the RN role is essential, along with the ability to prioritize and manage the unit's workload effectively. Candidates should possess the skills necessary to adapt care based on the patient's age and be proficient in telephone screening and patient interviewing.
