The Medical Oncology department at Powers Health is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals requiring services for cancer or hematologic diseases.

We are looking for a skilled and empathetic Nurse Assistant to assist our patients with their personal needs, comfort, and safety during evening and night shifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), ambulation, mobility, positioning, turning, and lifting while maintaining safety patient care practices.
  • Assist patients with transfers and discharges.
  • Assist patients with nutritional needs, including passing and collecting food trays, feeding patients, providing fresh water every shift, and assisting with maintenance of special diets and between meal nourishment.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
  • One year direct patient care experience with successful completion of competency exam, completion of one semester of clinicals in nursing program, or completion of nursing assistant certification required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Completes annual skill validations as well as safety and infection control procedures.
