Job Summary:

The Clinical Educator II provides staff development expertise in their assigned specialty as an educator expert clinician consultant facilitator change agent leader patient advocate and researcher. Each supports the clinical and professional development of their staff with a goal of achieving excellence in the delivery of evidence based nursing practice.

In addition as a role model of professional behavior the Clinical Educator II assists in creating a professional nursing climate and supports our mission vision and values.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the educational process through assessment development planning implementation and evaluation of competency continuing education and professional development.
  • Direct reporting to Nursing Director in assigned specialty with an indirect reporting to the Director of Education.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of applied clinical experience as an RN in assigned specialty or as a Clinical Educator or Clinical Instructor.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and Master's Degree in Nursing Education or related area or current enrollment in a Master's Degree program with an education plan approved by the CNE which will allow completion of the Master's Degree program within three years.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
  • RN license from NV State Nursing Board.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National certification in specialty or Professional Staff Development.
  • Instructor status in at least one of the mandatory certifications required for assigned specialty.

Compensation:

$38.81 - $56.28 /hour
