Job Summary
As a skilled Registered Nurse in Boston Medical Center’s Intermediate Care Unit, you will be an integral part of delivering exceptional care to patients. Utilizing our patient-centered care model, you will be supported by a nursing organization that uplifts and empowers you to deliver the best possible care to your patients.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members, patients, and their families to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established guidelines and policies.
- Utilize computerized data and information to inform patient care decisions and improve outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license or the ability to obtain one.
- At least one year of RN experience, with a preference for experience in critical care or medical step-down units.
- Certification in basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) required in certain units.
- Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN, with a preference for BSN. Ability to obtain BSN within four years.
- Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty certification required for certain practice areas.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
- Physical ability to meet job responsibilities and basic computer proficiency.
- Fluency in another language a plus.
