Job Title: Custodian

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain the interior and exterior of our facilities, including classrooms, offices, and common areas.
  • Restock supplies and materials as needed.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and unclogging drains.
  • Operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to achieve common goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Illinois Driver's license and ability to travel within the district.
  • Prior school custodian experience preferred.

Benefits:

  • $16.50/hour.

Physical Requirements:

The Custodian will be required to stand, walk, and move freely throughout the facilities, lifting up to 50 pounds as needed. The position also requires the ability to work on ladders and in various weather conditions.
