Job Location: Chicago

The Senior Financial Analyst for Supply Chain plays a pivotal role in delivering financial insights and forecasting across the supply chain division. This prominent position entails collaborating closely with the supply chain team and spearheading enhancements in processes and analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

As a committed business partner to the Supply Chain team, you will engage in the following activities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the key business drivers influencing manufacturing, procurement, and logistics.
  • Deliver actionable business insights and data-driven analytics to meet established objectives.
  • Support inventory management, including lifecycle management decisions, internal audits of monthly inventory counts, and assessments of slow-moving and obsolete items.
  • Provide analytical support for the contract manufacturing team, ensuring robust inventory management and identifying cost-saving opportunities with third-party manufacturers.
  • Assist in formulating the fixed capital forecast and contribute to the annual business and strategic planning processes.
  • Support critical month-end and year-end closing procedures, including production order settlements, physical inventory checks, and external audits.
  • Offer specific, actionable insights regarding changes in monthly and quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Challenge and critically assess various business decisions, proposing alternative recommendations.
  • Deliver technical expertise and implement best practices for process and control improvements within the Supply Chain team.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead finance-wide projects aimed at establishing a well-regulated operating system, with project scope varying based on business needs.

Qualifications for Success

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and a strong drive for results through effective collaboration.
  • Robust analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities.
  • Proven history of implementing change and enhancing processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency.

  • Possess a strong character; resilient and able to thrive in an environment that challenges conventional thinking.

Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, preferably with supply chain or plant controllership experience in a leading consumer packaged goods organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience with SAP and Tableau is highly desirable.
