Job Summary:

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations, gather medical histories, and make preliminary diagnoses of diseases, illnesses, and injuries.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, and studying medical histories.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests and interpret test results to inform patient care plans.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans to ensure continuity of care and optimal health outcomes.
  • Work in triage and make decisions on patient care needs, prioritizing the most critical cases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient health, including medical histories and physical examinations.
  • Identify and address patient care issues, providing information on treatment options and supporting patients in making informed decisions.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests to inform patient care plans and interpret test results accurately.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures, such as immunizations, injections, and wound care, to promote patient health and well-being.
  • Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic regimens and health maintenance, empowering them to take an active role in their care.

Requirements:

  • Hold a four-year undergraduate degree, complete a four-year medical school program, and obtain a one-year rotating internship and two-year residency in Pediatrics.
  • Be board certified or eligible in Pediatrics, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Complete annual Continuing Medical Education requirements to stay current with the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
