Job Summary: The role involves assisting patients with their daily living activities, delivering fundamental nursing care to geriatric psychiatric patients, and ensuring a safe and clean environment under the guidance of the supervising Registered Nurse.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care that addresses both psychosocial and physical needs within the Nursing Assistant's scope of practice.
  • Facilitate effective communication with patients.
  • Perform additional duties as required, adhering to the Nursing Assistant's responsibilities.
  • Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge processes of patients.
  • Execute basic patient care tasks, taking into account the specific needs related to care standards.
  • Effectively communicate any observed changes in patient condition to the RN.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique needs of geriatric patients.
  • Engage in clear and respectful communication with team leaders, colleagues, and physicians.
  • Treat patients and their families with dignity and respect.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a certified nursing assistant program.
  • CNA Certification or current RN student with proof of two completed clinical rotations.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Preferred experience of six months to one year in a related field.
