Job Summary:

New York Technology Partners is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect to join our team. As a key member of our cloud governance practice, you will be responsible for creating and delivering cloud governance strategies, leading cloud cost optimization efforts, and developing cloud architecture models based on the AWS Well Architected Framework.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cloud governance strategies, including charter, procedures, and roles/responsibilities
  • Lead cloud cost optimization efforts, including rightsizing, reserving instances, and automated tagging
  • Design and develop data-driven analytics and executive reporting to enable cross-functional conversations about cloud architecture and challenges
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement cloud governance strategies
  • Track and report KPIs and trend analysis relating to AWS cloud consumption, capacity management, and chargeback
Requirements:
  • Certifications of AWS Solutions Architect Associate (required) and AWS Solutions Architect Professional (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of experience in AWS public cloud
  • Strong understanding of AWS Well Architected Framework
  • Ability to investigate data to explain outliers, anomalies, and optimizations to rationalize cloud spend
  • Experience in cloud design optimizations, including rightsizing, reserving instances, and automated tagging
