Deputy Sheriff

Spotsylvania County- VA is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Deputy Sheriff to join our team. As a Deputy Sheriff, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, protecting the public, and enforcing laws and regulations.

• Law Enforcement: Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime, and to enforce laws and regulations.
• Community Policing: Build relationships with the community, respond to calls for service, and provide assistance to citizens.
• Investigations: Conduct investigations into crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses and suspects.
• Traffic Enforcement: Enforce traffic laws and regulations, and conduct traffic stops and investigations.
• Court Services: Serve court documents, and provide security and support to the courts.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, and provide assistance to citizens in need.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous law enforcement experience preferred.
• Certifications: Must be certified as a law enforcement officer in the state of Virginia.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and ability to make sound judgments in emergency situations.
