Pharmacy Technician - Float Position

As a Pharmacy Technician - Float Position, you'll play a vital role in supporting our mental health and specialty pharmacy services. Your primary responsibilities will include dispensing medical prescriptions, performing clerical duties, and working under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumers and clinic staff
  • Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
  • Orders, receives, and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
  • Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
  • Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
  • Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
  • Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
  • Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Will be required to float to two other sites in the area to cover PTO's when needed

Requirements:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Illinois
  • Access to reliable transportation & valid US driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • 6+ months of Pharmacy Technician experience
