Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Service Technician to join our team. As a Chemical Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining existing customers in the Fargo area, performing water treatment tests, and providing technical sales support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solve customers' water problems
  • Treat industrial boilers and cooling towers to keep them energy efficient and environmentally friendly
  • Perform detailed water testing and analyses at industrial sites
  • Help sell Garratt-Callahan's proprietary chemical blends, equipment, and monitoring technology
  • Help sell corrosion and scale inhibitors, coagulants, flocculants, biocides, bio-augmentation, feed and monitoring equipment, water management plans, reverse osmosis products
  • Help sell Water Safety Programs
  • Keep existing customers happy
  • Help bring on new industrial customers

About the Role

This is a technical sales support role that requires a strong understanding of water treatment chemistry and technology. As a Chemical Service Technician, you will work closely with our sales team to provide technical support and help customers solve their water problems.

Requirements

  • 4-year science degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Paper Science, or Water Resources)
  • 1-year technical sales or internship experience in water treatment chemicals (preferred)
  • Outside industrial sales experience (plus)
  • Ability to live in the territory of Eastern South Dakota, with a preference for the Sioux Falls area
