Full-Time Store Merchandising Supervisor

About the Role

As a Merchandising Supervisor at Kohl's, you will be responsible for leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service through effective merchandising, pricing, and recovery strategies. You will work closely with the Merchandising Manager to execute visual merchandising standards, maintain a well-recovered selling floor, and coach associates to achieve daily performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute store merchandising standards, ensuring product presentation is clear, easy to understand, and compelling to customers.
  • Maintain a well-recovered selling floor, remerchandising and replenishing product as necessary based on sell-through and seasonal changes.
  • Coach, teach, and train merchandising associates to accurately and efficiently execute company merchandising direction to brand standards.
  • Support the training of associates on merchandising standards, product knowledge, and tools, adhering to Kohl's brand standards.
  • Partner with the Operations team to ensure efficient execution of merchandising incoming product.

What You'll Do

  • Lead with integrity, honesty, and foster a culture of teamwork and inclusivity.
  • Exercise good judgment, taking appropriate partners as needed.
  • Model, guide, and provide direction to associates.
  • Demonstrate and coach a customer service mindset, including customer service philosophies, anticipating customer needs, and satisfactorily resolving issues.
  • Lead by example, personally meeting or exceeding individual goals (e.g., productivity, credit, loyalty).
  • Support strong operational standards, shortage mitigation, and merchandising presentation, including accurate pricing and proper signing.
  • Prevent loss by educating associates, monitoring daily store activity, maintaining product protection standards, ensuring company policies are followed, and partnering with Loss Prevention.
  • Monitor and adjust resources as dictated by the business to support customer needs and workload demands when assigned as leader on duty.
  • Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to make informed business decisions that drive overall store results.
  • Accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
  • Train, monitor, and reinforce company policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Maintain adherence to company safety policies for the safety of all associates and customers.
  • Key holder responsibilities include opening and closing store processes and providing direction to associates.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred

  • 2 years of experience in retail or a similar industry.
  • Experience supervising teams or associates, including the responsibility for coaching to achieve daily performance goals.
