Resident Care Specialist

Brighton Center Inc is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Resident Care Specialist to join our team. As a Resident Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of program participants and maintaining the smooth operation of household activities.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Eligibility: Conduct thorough assessments to determine program eligibility and ensure participants meet the necessary criteria.
- Intake Support: Assist with the intake process, providing a warm and welcoming environment for new participants.
- Vital Monitoring: Monitor participants' vital signs, including tracking potential withdrawal symptoms, to ensure their health and safety.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of participant information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Supervision and Crisis Counseling: Provide ongoing supervision and support to participants, offering crisis counseling as needed to address emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Household Operations: Conduct regular house checks to ensure the safety and security of the household, identifying and addressing any potential issues or concerns.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Peer Support Specialist Certification a plus.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, overnights, and weekends, with flexibility to adapt to changing schedules.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, for data entry and communication with the team.
- Knowledge and Skills: Broad understanding of substance use disorders, recovery models, and behavior management techniques; ability to apply knowledge in a practical setting.
