Electrophysiology Technician - Cath Lab Full Time Days

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Electrophysiology Lab Manager or Supervisor, the Electrophysiology Technician assists physician in the Electrophysiology laboratory during intra-cardiac EP studies and pacemaker implants. The successful candidate will perform various duties, including collection and interpretation of data, operating equipment, and preparing patients for electrophysiology studies.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all duties of an electrophysiology technician.
  • Operate various equipment needed to monitor blood pressure, oxygen level, electrocardiograms, pressure in chambers and vessels in the heart.
  • Prepare patients for electrophysiology studies and pacemaker follow-up in clinic.
  • Adhere to hospital and department policies, procedures, and objectives.
  • Promote the values of the DMC by demonstrating behaviors supportive of a commitment to quality, community welfare, respect, and involvement.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved Cardiac Electrophysiology Technologist or Cardiovascular Technician Program.
  • One to two years experience in the cardiology field, including performance measurement of intra-cardiac recordings and pacemaker analyses.
