Key Responsibilities
The primary role involves collaborating with a team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness across the campus.

Essential Duties Include:
1. Sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping floors.
2. Dusting furniture and surfaces.
3. Restocking restroom supplies.
4. Emptying and sanitizing waste receptacles.
5. Cleaning whiteboards, windows, and walls.
6. Maintaining restrooms and other designated facilities.
7. Cleaning elevators and stairwells.
8. Sanitizing high-touch areas.
9. Managing custodial supply areas and equipment.
10. Identifying safety hazards and maintenance issues.
11. Performing minor repairs on building equipment and facilities.
12. Maintaining accurate electronic timekeeping as required.
13. Ensuring regular and punctual attendance as dictated by departmental needs.
14. Undertaking additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of six months in janitorial or building maintenance roles.
Licensure: A valid California Driver's License is required.

Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Ability to train student workers effectively.
- Proficient in the use of cleaning machinery such as vacuums, wet/dry vacuums, and floor machines.
- Strong communication skills in English for effective instruction relay.
- Capacity to complete tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
- Ability to learn and retain procedural information.

Physical Requirements
- Capability to perform manual tasks requiring moderate strength.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Availability to operate a campus vehicle.

Work Environment
- Exposure to machinery, equipment, and cleaning chemicals.
- Potential for conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems.
- Tasks may be performed in varying temperatures.

Technological Proficiency
- Familiarity with Google Apps, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Compensation
Grade 5: Hourly compensation ranges from $16.11 to $18.53, reflecting Azusa Pacific University's expectations for this role. Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience. A competitive benefits package is also offered.
