Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, monitoring patients' responses and reporting any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, addressing their concerns and answering questions about treatment options and side effects.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience working in radiation oncology or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
