Position Overview


In the role of Electrical Cost Estimator, you will be instrumental in the success of our projects by providing accurate cost assessments, nurturing client relationships, and assisting in various project management functions.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy of estimates, reviewing construction documents, and identifying potential risks. You will also engage in pre-construction activities, value engineering initiatives, and business development strategies.

Your expertise and meticulous attention to detail will play a vital role in enhancing our company's growth and esteemed reputation within the construction sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct customer communications and follow-ups
  • Ensure the accuracy of cost estimates
  • Oversee the review of drawings, specifications, and all other construction documents
  • Assist in preparing construction schedules for estimating requests and discuss staffing needs
  • Contribute to the preparation of General Conditions estimates and reviews
  • Develop preliminary, schematic, design development, and construction estimates
  • Engage in pre-construction and design development to identify potential overruns and issues
  • Participate in the value engineering process
  • Support business development efforts
  • Maintain up-to-date estimating records, studies, and unit pricing
  • Aid Project Managers in evaluating and analyzing subcontractor proposals
  • Follow project instructions
  • Stay informed on compliance regulations
  • Resolve project-related issues
  • Assess staff performance and provide updates
  • Prepare subcontractor agreements
  • Assist Project Managers in project buy-outs
  • Provide support to other estimators and project managers as needed.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities, including but not limited to billing, expense reports, office needs, and other work-related tasks.
Qualifications

5-8 years of experience in industrial manufacturing estimating

2-5 years of hands-on experience in industrial settings

Experience with data centers is advantageous

Proficiency in bid estimation software for accurate and efficient cost analysis of electrical projects.


Comprehensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and expertise in Low Voltage Systems, ensuring compliance and safety in project estimations.

Exceptional mathematical skills for precise calculations and assessments of project costs and requirements.

Strong communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with clients, team members, and stakeholders throughout the estimation process.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is between $95,000 and $120,000.

The actual base salary will be determined based on various factors, including work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and professional qualifications.
