Job Title: Admissions Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our team at Chapters Health System as an Admissions Registered Nurse (RN) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide and arrange for Hospice care in a collaborative relationship with other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Initiate referrals to other disciplines and/or community resources as needed.
  • Develop and implement preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures to maximize quality of life.
  • Function as a member of the regional and admissions team, demonstrating flexibility in work schedules and shared responsibility for delivery of care.
  • Conduct orientation, teaching, mentoring, and training of Hospice employees and volunteers assigned to the clinical service.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities, QUAPI program, and hospice-sponsored inservice training.
  • Assume responsibility for own professional growth and development, participating in ongoing education and maintaining knowledge of current nursing practice.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing program.
  • At least two years of public health/community health, med surg, or related nursing experience.
  • Experience in home care, hospice, and/or oncology nursing preferred.
  • Healthcare Provider BLS (CPR) certification required.

This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as ongoing compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
