Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: Waco, TX

Shift: Night shift (3 shifts per week, 36 scheduled hours)

Shift Duration: 12 hour shifts

Hourly Rate: $32 - $53

Sign-On Bonus: $10,000

Job Overview:

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will play a critical role in patient care by using a professional practice model to manage and coordinate care. You will conduct assessments, recognize health issues, develop care plans, and assess patient responses to treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate care plans to ensure patient needs are met.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families while managing discomfort.
  • Educate patients and their families on healthcare options, empowering them with knowledge for better decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and the community to deliver effective patient care.
  • Use critical thinking to solve problems, prioritize safety, and ensure efficiency in care delivery.
  • Support team members' development and contribute to the overall success of the care team.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong understanding of nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, patient safety regulations, and nursing ethics.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, scheduling, and electronic medical documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • A valid and current nursing license.
  • BLS certification (must be obtained within 30 days of starting).
