Job Title: Machine Technician

We are seeking a skilled Machine Technician to join our team at Ever Fresh Fruit Company. As a Machine Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining our apple peelers, sorters, dicers, and supporting equipment to ensure customer orders are fulfilled consistently and in a timely fashion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner, adhering to company policies, GMPs, and SOPs.
  • Set up and ensure proper operation of apple peelers, dicers, sorters, and supporting equipment.
  • Monitor product, adjust, and repair general equipment as needed for efficient operation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.
  • Recommend replacement and spare parts.
  • Perform sanitation on peelers and other equipment as needed.
  • Work closely with new hires, train, evaluate, and document their progress to ensure they are capable of performing maintenance functions prior to allowing them to work on equipment unsupervised.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and repair various equipment in a safe and timely manner.
  • High mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Bi-Lingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Occasionally required to push/pull/lift weights up to 50 pounds.
  • Worker may be exposed to a loud working environment.
  • Worker may be exposed to hazards in the work place such as proximity to equipment conducting extreme heat, moving mechanical parts, and electrical current.
  • Must be able to work in environment containing allergens (nuts, milk, wheat, etc.).
  • Must be able to stand/walk/talk/hear/sit for prolonged periods of time.
