Machinist Job Description

As a Machinist at Tradesmen International, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation of industrial machinery. Your duties will include dismantling, repairing, and replacing defective parts, as well as reassembling machinery using machinist’s tools. You will also install ship machinery such as propelling machinery and steering gear, working from blueprints and using hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dismantle and repair defective machinery parts
  • Reassemble machinery using machinist’s tools
  • Install ship machinery using blueprints and hand tools


Requirements:
  • Experience working with industrial machinery
  • Familiarity with machinist’s tools and hand tools
  • Ability to work from blueprints and specifications
