About the Role

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and protocols.
  • Participate in instrument and supply management, ensuring accurate counts and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and families, providing clear and concise information regarding procedures and care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operating room settings, with a focus on general and orthopedic surgeries.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, including Epic.
