Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at WASHOE BARTON MEDICAL CLINIC. As a key member of our Cardiac Cath Lab team, you will play a crucial role in assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization procedures, providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after procedures, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Cath Lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging exams with minimal supervision, utilizing radiographic equipment and enforcing safety standards.
  • Assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and Physicians in providing care during critical situations, including preparing and scrubbing in during Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
  • Operate equipment on complex examination and treatment procedures, including intra-aortic balloon pump therapy for critically ill patients.
  • Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment to ensure optimal functioning, and monitor patients' vital signs and assist with medication administration as directed by physicians.
  • Provide patient education on pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care instructions, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their Cath Lab experience.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or certification in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory setting, demonstrating proficiency in operating and troubleshooting Cath Lab equipment.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
