Psychiatrist Needed for Correctional Facility in Vacaville, California

AdeIphi Medical Staffing is seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team at a correctional facility in Vacaville, California. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals within the correctional system.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive mental health evaluations and treatment to inmates/youths, including those in multi-tiered housing units.
  • Conduct thorough suicide risk assessments, applying established protocols and documenting findings accurately.
  • Participate actively in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, including face-to-face consultations and IDTT meeting participation.
  • Monitor patient progress using SOAPE-formatted progress notes and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with supervising psychiatrists on complex cases and contribute to clinical conferences.
  • Prescribe appropriate medications within the framework of the Correctional Formulary or obtain non-formulary approvals when necessary.
  • Interpret laboratory results and refer patients to medical services for further evaluation and treatment as required.
Requirements:
  • Valid and active California Physician license from the CA Medical Board/Osteopathic Board.
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry by the ABPN, AOBNP, or RCPSC.
  • Minimum of 12 consecutive months of experience providing similar services within the past three years.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
