Role Overview:

The Culinary Preparation Specialist is tasked with the essential duties of preparing ingredients, sauces, and simple dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of hot and cold menu items.
  • Compile a prep sheet detailing all necessary items for preparation or ordering.
  • Adhere to the prep sheet and maintain communication with the culinary team.
  • Ensure timely completion of prep tasks.
  • Correctly wrap, label, date, and store food items.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Understand equipment handling and upkeep.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to minimize costs.
  • Read and follow recipes, execute orders, and apply knife skills.
  • Assist chefs during service.
  • Maintain open communication with management and staff.
  • Follow safety and health protocols.
  • Complete assigned tasks and check-out procedures.
  • Clean spills and manage waste disposal.
  • Report any issues to management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of all state-required work permits.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
  • Advanced knife skills.
  • Knowledge of food storage practices.
  • Understanding of lifting techniques.
  • Experience in guest relations, sanitation, and safety.
  • Familiarity with full-service kitchen operations.
  • Effective communication skills in English.

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be conducted indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying conditions.
  • Environment may include noise and crowds, depending on guest volume.
  • Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting.
  • Shifts may vary, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
