Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Emerald Health Services. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment. Your expertise in critical care will be essential in making life-saving decisions and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
* Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
* Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
* Conduct thorough assessments and monitor patients' conditions to identify potential complications
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Requirements:
* Current RN licensure in the state of practice
* 2 years of experience in critical care nursing
* Epic experience required
* BLS, ACLS, NIH, and CPI certifications
* Ability to work 36 hours per week, with flexibility to float to other units as needed

Unit Information:
Our ICU unit is a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients. Our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our patients and their families. We are committed to creating a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters growth and development.
Equipment and Technology:
Our ICU unit is equipped with the latest technology and equipment, including Alaris IV Pumps, CADD PCA pumps, Servo I ventilators, Fresenius CRRT Dialysis machines, NxStage dialysis, Veratron Bladder Scanner, and Arctic Sun TMS. Our team is trained to use this equipment to provide the highest level of care to our patients.
Float Requirement:
As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be required to float to other units as needed. This may include floating to the ED or PACU to care for ICU patients. You will also be required to work with a diverse range of patients, including those with encephalopathy, r/o kidney rejection, acute kidney injury, elevated creatinine, or patients that require esophageal tamponade.
Weekend and Holiday Requirements:
You will be required to work 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule and holidays as needed. We offer a competitive hourly rate and comprehensive benefits package to our Critical Care Nurses.
Preferred Certifications:
OCN and CCRN certifications are preferred. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
Scrubs and Attire:
You will be required to wear teal, white, or a combination of both scrubs. You must also wear closed-toe and heel shoes and have a name badge at all times. Artificial or acrylic nails are not permitted.
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement:
We require all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19, with medical or religious exemptions only. We also require the flu vaccine, with no exemptions.
