Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to enhance their career within a distinguished cardiovascular practice recognized for its excellence in patient care and quality services.

In this capacity, the selected individual will operate as a PET and MI SPECT Technologist, conducting imaging examinations on adult patients to aid in the diagnostic process of various health conditions.

This position is structured as a full-time role, requiring 10-hour shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting PET and MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures on designated anatomical areas in accordance with departmental protocols.
  • Identifying and documenting internal body elements, noting any irregularities that may suggest disease, injury, or other significant medical conditions.
  • Calibrating equipment and reassuring patients to minimize testing artifacts.
  • Observing patients for any potentially hazardous physical or emotional changes during procedures.
  • Assessing imaging results for precision and clarity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and physicians to review imaging outcomes.
  • Communicating preliminary findings to physicians as per departmental guidelines.
  • Distributing finalized imaging results to healthcare providers.
  • Preparing diagnostic data for physician analysis.
  • Maintaining accurate patient records, including diagnosis and billing codes, and updating patient information systems.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and work areas.
  • Identifying equipment issues and either adjusting settings or initiating repair requests.
  • Guiding patients through pre-test preparations, addressing inquiries, and explaining imaging procedures.
  • Performing additional tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
  • A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in PET and MI SPECT imaging.

Licensure/Certification:

  • California Licensure or eligibility to obtain.
  • Valid ARRT (CT) certification required; ARRT (N) certification is optional.
  • NMTCB certification is mandatory.
