About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team at Family Building Blocks. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate learning plans, incorporating activities that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
  • Conduct weekly home visits to families, providing support and guidance on parenting and child development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to Head Start Performance Standards and regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • CDA Credential in Early Childhood Education or comparable credential.
  • At least six months of experience working in an infant/toddler classroom.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and acceptable driving record.
