About the Role

Gulf Coast Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Crisis On-Call Case Manager to join our team. As a key member of our crisis services team, you will provide rapid response mobile crisis services in the community, working with individuals and families experiencing mental health and substance use crises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to crisis calls in a timely and effective manner, providing crisis assessment and intervention services to adults and children.
  • Provide intensive crisis follow-up services, including crisis follow-up contacts, rehabilitative skills training, family education, and community resource referrals.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, local hospitals, and other social service agencies to resolve crisis needs.
  • Conduct Adult Needs and Strengths Assessments and Children's Needs and Strengths Assessments.
  • Enter crisis intervention service notes and mental health screening and triage service notes into the Smartcare electronic health record within 24 hours of the crisis service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the behavioral science field of study.
  • General knowledge of mental health disorders.
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish cooperative relationships with individuals in crisis situations.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, responding to crisis calls and providing services in a variety of settings, including offices and field settings. May require travel to various locations within Brazoria and Galveston Counties.
