Compensation and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off policies, health, dental, and vision insurance, and an employer-sponsored 401(k) plan.
Job DescriptionThis role is responsible for administering designated environmental, health, and safety programs and related policies and procedures affecting the company's existing environmental, health, and safety issues. The successful candidate will act as a liaison with management personnel regarding interpretation of all policies and procedures pertaining to technical support and guidance on industrial hygiene, reactive and explosive, OSHA, substance abuse testing, accident prevention, and other areas.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring, as specified in the company's Industrial Hygiene Plan
- Maintain monitoring equipment
- Perform Annual review and update of selected Site Plans and Standard Divisional Practices (SDPs)
- Recommend changes/corrections to ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate on an improvement team pertaining to all environmental, health, and safety programs
- Makes appropriate recommendations to facilitate the needs at various facilities
- Conducts RCRA Inspection as needed
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science, Environmental or Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Relevant work experience in the hazardous waste industry or a related field is preferred. The successful candidate will also have strong problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines.
In addition to these qualifications, the following certifications/licenses/training are required:
- 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification
