Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in a full-time contract position. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing speech and language disorders in students, developing and implementing individualized education plans, and providing direct therapy services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Individualized Education Plans: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address the communication needs of students.
  • Direct Therapy Services: Provide direct therapy services to students, both one-on-one and in small groups, to address their communication needs.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
  • Parent Education: Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
Requirements
  • Masters Degree: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Active Licensure: Active licensure in the state of Connecticut.
  • Certification: Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous school-based experience is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
