Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse II / Nurse Supervisor (RNS) reports directly to the Nurse Manager.
Under general supervision, the RN II/RNS provides tailored, goal-focused care to patients and their families, utilizing the nursing process principles and practices.
This role is dedicated to delivering safe and effective care while working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to achieve desired outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Nursing degree is preferred.
Registered nurses hired on or after July 1, 2013, with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing are required to enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and successfully obtain a BSN degree within four years of the RN hire or reclassification date.
A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required.
Licensure and Certifications:
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state is required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory, either from the American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers or an equivalent recognized by AHA, or from the American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform job functions while standing, sitting, and walking (Continuous).
Ability to climb stairs (Infrequent).
Ability to work indoors (Continuous) and outdoors in temperature extremes (Infrequent).
Ability to perform various physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. unassisted (Infrequent).
Ability to maintain good vision and hearing acuity (Continuous).
Ability to handle stressful situations effectively (Continuous).
Ability to work rotating shifts and overtime as required (Frequent).
