Key Responsibilities:

Under the guidance of the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Supervisor will:

  • Oversee nursing operations primarily in the Health Care Center, with occasional support for Assisted Living and Memory Care.
  • Manage staffing schedules and address urgent staffing needs as they arise.
  • Evaluate nursing staff performance in accordance with established quality assurance standards.
  • Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
  • Monitor residents' conditions, documenting significant changes and communicating with supervisors, physicians, and families as necessary.
  • Participate in daily rounds and assist with the admission process for new residents.
  • Assess resident needs and deliver nursing care according to individualized care plans.
  • Ensure resident rights are upheld and address any complaints or concerns appropriately.
  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to residents and their families during critical times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Engage in safety programs and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Attend relevant in-service training sessions.
  • Collaborate effectively with residents, staff, and families.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a charge nurse or nursing supervisor.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facilities and long-term care preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
