The Director of Field Technology and Innovation plays a crucial role in identifying, researching, and vetting innovative Construction Field Technologies (CFT) to positively affect safety, quality, and the effectiveness of the overall construction process.
Key Responsibilities- Tracks existing technology investments for changes and improvements, including testing and implementation of updates
- Conducts research, pilots, proofs of concepts, and case studies on leading-edge technologies and makes recommendations on implementation
- Maintains active catalog and valuation of hardware and software systems
- Undertakes market research to determine industry conditions, trends, opportunities, competition, and growth
- Leads CFT net revenue generation efforts and ensures the fiscal health, efficiency, and effectiveness through sustainable offerings that contribute to the organization's bottom line
- Develops and implements a CFT strategic plan with performance indicators, in partnership with Senior Management Group (SMG), to support the Alberici corporate strategic plan
- Fosters collaboration, partnerships, and the sharing of information and expertise with other company departments and initiatives
- Engages with project executives, project managers, and other team members to establish a budget and plan of execution on projects
- Develops trainings, SOPs, and workflows for newly adopted construction field technology
- Ensures all CFT initiatives and services are managed within goals, timelines, and budgets through regular monitoring and report outs to the SMG
- Ensures consistent implementation and SOP compliance of construction field technologies
- Applies technical knowledge to identify areas of improvement in the construction process
- Oversees the Innovation Committee and promotes interest in innovative tech
- Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of construction industry or strong technology and innovation experience
- Trainer/instructor experience preferred
