PRN - Flexible Schedule Position:
This role involves overseeing and executing all responsibilities related to medication procurement, distribution, and the upkeep of necessary documentation.
Additionally, the position emphasizes ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient utilization of pharmaceutical products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the procurement and distribution of medications while maintaining accurate records.
2. Promote the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals within the healthcare setting.
3. Supervise pharmacy operations to ensure compliance with established protocols.
Qualifications:
1. A valid Pharmacist License issued by the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy is mandatory, along with a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or higher.
2. In-depth knowledge of hospital pharmacy practices is essential.
3. Strong organizational abilities coupled with effective oral and written communication skills are required.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Completion of a PGY1 Residency is preferred for recent graduates.
2. Experience in unit dose distribution and IV admixture or compounded sterile products is advantageous.
