Job Summary:We are seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will provide direct supervision, safety, and crisis management for patients. They will also maintain safety within the milieu by constantly monitoring patients for potentially unsafe behaviors.
Key Responsibilities:- Provides direct supervision of patients/guests waiting with patients.
- Maintains safety within the milieu by constantly monitoring patients/guests for potentially unsafe behaviors.
- Prevents and manages crisis situations.
- Role models appropriate behaviors, attitudes, social skills, and self-care.
- Completes all documentation as required.
- Adheres to facility policies and procedures.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Ability to rotate shifts as necessary.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Must consistently exhibit mental and emotional ability to understand and perform the essential functions of the job.
- Provides behavioral management using hospital-approved methods.
- Supervises patients at all times to maintain safety.
High School diploma or GED; Attendance in an accredited college and/or university.
Certification:Current Texas driver's license with good driving record, CPR/CPI certification.
Experience:One year of experience as a Mental Health Worker or related field or enrollment in or a graduate of a professional program (LVN, RN, licensed therapist).
