Position Overview:

The Case Plan Supervisor is tasked with overseeing the Case Plan Analysts and ensuring the ongoing quality assurance of the Case Plan Credit Time process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the daily monitoring of the "Case Plan Credit" queue to review submissions from offenders, ensuring timely processing by analysts based on established priorities.
  • Act as the secondary reviewer for any unsuccessful CPCT evaluations.
  • Oversee and document the implementation of SMART interventions and quality case planning across various facilities.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance evaluations on the work completed by Case Plan Analysts and field submissions, ensuring compliance with review timelines and accuracy.
  • Determine appropriate review schedules and ensure adherence to procedural guidelines.
  • Track and manage all procedural workarounds, ensuring they are executed in the correct order.
  • Assist field staff with inquiries and discrepancies, providing expert guidance on CPCT policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between field staff, Case Plan Analysts, and supervisors to ensure consistent responses to inquiries.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Case Management to revise policies as necessary, ensuring alignment with state regulations.
  • Ensure that CPCT reviews present clear and objective information during review panel meetings.
  • Address case plans and reviews for incarcerated individuals serving sentences in other jurisdictions, coordinating with relevant staff.
  • Foster positive working relationships within the team and with facility staff to ensure comprehensive documentation is considered during reviews.

Qualifications for Success:
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant federal and state laws impacting correctional programs.
  • Familiarity with the Indiana Penal Code and Department of Correction policies.
  • Expertise in correctional programming and case management.
  • Strong understanding of the Case Plan Credit Time process.
  • Proficiency in departmental procedures and software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information.
  • Capability to synthesize complex data for diverse stakeholders.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of three years of experience, or an associate's degree with five years of experience, or seven years of professional experience in corrections or related fields.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively and manage workloads equitably.
