Key Responsibilities- Perform Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections and perform repairs on trailers and tankers, including steering systems, hydraulic systems, brake systems, transmissions, electrical systems, and engines.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent mechanical issues and ensure optimal performance of our equipment.
- Diagnose Mechanical Problems: Use your expertise to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with trailers and tankers.
- Testing and Inspections: Conduct thorough testing and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document work orders and communicate with drivers and other team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Education and Certifications: Mechanical or trade school certificate preferred; ASE, DOT Mechanic, and/or Diesel Mechanic certifications with CDL a plus.
- Experience: Several years of experience performing maintenance, testing, and diagnostics on trailer units and tankers.
- Skills and Knowledge: Knowledgeable of air/brake systems; ability to lift and/or move items up to 50 lbs.
- Physical Demands: Exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration; requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
