Medical Oncology Nurse II

At US Oncology Network-wide Career Opportunities, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Oncology RN II to join our team.
Job Summary:The Medical Oncology RN II will provide professional nursing care to patients with cancer, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of oncology nursing practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:- Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding their current status and medical history.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Triages patient phone calls and documents relevant information in the patient's chart.
- Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of RN experience, with oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
