This is an exciting opportunity to join the City of Fort Collins as a Maintenance Assistant, Fleet and Parts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance of our facilities, delivering city vehicles, and supporting the fleet services department.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, including sweeping, scrubbing floors, and emptying trash.
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain parking lots, sidewalks, and driveways.
- Deliver city vehicles to outside vendors and inspect vehicles in the pool for minor maintenance needs.
- Restock and clean the parts room, assist with vehicle shuttle and shop clean-up, and perform daily checks on delivery vehicles.
- Answer phones and provide general information as needed, and stock and clean the fuel island.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with one to two years of experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to operate and maintain vehicles and equipment, including snowplows and forklifts.
- Basic math skills and ability to pass a pre-employment fit for duty test.
- Valid driver's license and ability to submit to a pre-employment drug test.
- Potential for paid personal leave and paid holidays.
