Front Desk Operations Manager

The Front Desk Operations Manager plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for students, alumni, faculty, and staff at George Mason University. As the first point of contact, this position requires excellent customer service skills, strong communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and improve reception and customer service operations to ensure seamless interactions with stakeholders.
- Manage the front desk, ensuring that all necessary resources and information are readily available to customers.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of Career Services' resources, staff, and university programs to provide accurate referrals.
- Respond to phone inquiries, directing callers to the appropriate resources or staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area, with easily accessible information for customers and staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated customer service experience in an office setting, typically obtained in 2+ years.
- Demonstrated experience with scheduling and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to train others on effective customer service techniques and procedures.
