Family Medicine Residency Core Faculty Position

Beebe Healthcare is a vibrant, coastal community-based healthcare organization that offers a fulfilling career as a core faculty member in our innovative family medicine residency program. As a core faculty member, you will be part of creating and shaping the program, working closely with the program director and other faculty members to deliver high-quality teaching and patient care.
Responsibilities
As a core faculty member, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a timely and cost-efficient manner to a broad range of patients. This will include maintaining board certification through regular CME activities and board examinations, maintaining a personal panel of patients, and providing supervision to resident physicians in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. You will also be responsible for participating in night call activities, inpatient rounds, and weekend call activities for the practice and residency. Additionally, you will be expected to engage in all practice policies and procedures, including QA projects, and maintain hospital privileges.
Education and Training
As a core faculty member, you will be responsible for participating in the training and education of residents within the standards as expected by the ACGME. This will include serving as a role model by precepting and seeing patients of all ages in the Family Medicine Clinic, serving as an attending physician on Family Medicine Hospital rounds, and dedicating appropriate time and effort to teaching in the hospital setting. You will also be expected to attend conferences regularly, present lectures regularly throughout the year, and participate in developing and assessing required and elective curriculum design. Furthermore, you will be responsible for serving as an advisor to assigned residents, ensuring evaluations and problem solving as per resident policy, and completing required evaluations of residents in office and hospital settings. Finally, you will be expected to assist with the recruiting, interviewing, selection, and ranking of prospective residents during recruitment season, and participate in Scholarly Activity projects with residents.
Other Duties
As a core faculty member, you will be expected to perform other duties at the discretion of the program director that are designed to enhance the program. This may include involvement in the community, serving on other committees, and representing the program in national, state, and local organizations as required by the program director.
